Delicious Indian Chocolate Recipes

1. Chocolate Barfi

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups milk powder

  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • Chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add milk powder and cocoa powder, and stir continuously to combine.
  3. Pour in the condensed milk and sugar, and mix well.
  4. Cook the mixture until it thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
  5. Add cardamom powder and mix thoroughly.
  6. Grease a plate or tray with ghee and pour the mixture onto it, spreading it evenly.
  7. Garnish with chopped nuts if desired and let it cool.
  8. Cut into square pieces and serve.

2. Chocolate Modak

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup khoya (mawa)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
  • Chopped nuts and raisins (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Heat ghee in a pan over low heat.
  2. Add khoya and cook until it softens and turns slightly brown.
  3. Add powdered sugar and cocoa powder, and mix well.
  4. Cook until the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  6. Grease a modak mold with ghee.
  7. Fill the mold with the mixture, adding chopped nuts and raisins in the center if desired.
  8. Unmold the chocolate modaks and let them set before serving.

3. Chocolate Ladoo

  • 1 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • Chopped nuts for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add gram flour and roast until it turns golden brown and aromatic.
  3. Add cocoa powder and mix well.
  4. Pour in the milk and stir continuously to avoid lumps.
  5. Add powdered sugar and cardamom powder, and mix until well combined.
  6. Cook the mixture until it thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)

  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour and ghee.
  2. Gradually add water and knead into a smooth dough. Cover and set aside for 30 minutes.
  3. Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler or microwave.

  5. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a thin circle.
  6. Cut the circle in half to form two semi-circles.
